Frequently asked questions
Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?
No — rotation sets a flag on each page rather than redrawing it. No pixels are re-encoded, so a rotated scan is byte-for-byte as sharp as the original and the file size is unchanged.
Can I rotate just one page?
Not with this tool — it applies the same rotation to every page, which is what you want for a document that scanned entirely sideways. For per-page rotation, use Organize PDF, which rotates individual pages as part of its reordering canvas.
My PDF looks right on screen but prints sideways. Will this fix it?
Usually yes. That mismatch normally means the page's stored rotation disagrees with its content orientation, and some printers honor the stored value while viewers auto-correct it. Rotating here writes a consistent value that both respect.
What rotation amounts are available?
90° clockwise, 180°, and 90° counter-clockwise. Rotations are cumulative with whatever the page already had, so applying 90° to a page already stored at 270° results in 0°.
Why did some pages end up straight and others still sideways?
Because the rotation is added to whatever each page already had, not set to a fixed value. A document assembled from several sources can carry different stored rotations per page, so one turn corrects some and overshoots others. Rotate again to bring the rest round, or fix them individually in Organize PDF.
