Chat with PDF Online
Ask questions in plain English and get answers grounded in your document's own words, with the page they came from — and a straight answer about which pages the AI could read, so "that isn't in the document" always means what it says.

Frequently asked questions
Does the AI make up answers not in my document?
It's instructed to answer only from the document's content and to say so plainly when something isn't covered, rather than guessing. It's still a language model, so treat an answer as a fast way to find the relevant passage rather than as advice — check the page it points you to before relying on it for anything that matters.
Can I trust the page numbers it cites?
Yes — the text sent to the AI is marked up page by page, so a cited page is one it can actually see rather than a guess. If it can't tell which page a fact came from, it will describe the section instead of inventing a number.
How long can the document be?
Roughly the first 48,000 characters of extracted text fit in one conversation — around 40-60 typical pages. If your document is longer, the chat says exactly which pages the answers cover, and the AI is told not to claim something is absent when it simply hasn't seen that part. Split the PDF to ask about the rest.
What about scanned pages?
Pages that are images with no text layer can't be read. The chat tells you how many pages that applies to instead of quietly answering as if the whole document had been read — run OCR PDF on it first to include them.
Is this free?
Yes, and you don't need an account. AI tools run on credits: everyone gets a daily allowance, signing in raises it, and a paid pass grants a prepaid pack. Each QUESTION spends credits, not each document — every question is a fresh AI request with your document attached. It's charged at the same rate as the other AI tools, which on a signed-out daily allowance works out at about two questions a day; signing in raises that.
